G.I.Joe: Call to Duty

Canadian Rocky Mountains, a top secret Cobra Base, a navy blue helicopter touches down on the helipad, resting gently. Tomax disembarks with Demise who follows the Crimson Guard Commander closely behind. They say no words to each other as they step into an elevator taking them down into the small mountain base. The doors open to a long hallway that leads to the throne room of the tyrannical mad man that leads the organization. Demise’s eyes widen as he finally gets to meet his Commander, quickly kneeling before the hooded main.
Cobra Commander stands tall looking over to Tomax. “This is the man that I have heard so much about?”
“Yes, Commander. He was part of the Montana Project several years ago, where it was believed everyone had perished.”
“We thought wrong now didn’t we? Rise and tell me your name.”
“My…my name is Simon Tem…” He wheezes.
“No, your real name, the one you go by now?”
“Demise.”
“Excellent. You have proven a survivor, a man I could use to help recruit others into my…our cause.”
“I will do…whatever you command. There are men…I want to make pay.”
“Ah, excellent, a man with ambition to see pain brought to others. I like that. Who are these men?”
“They are members of a team…called G.I.Joe.”
Cobra Commander tightens his fists. “Yes, they are a very troublesome sort, I think we have everything you will need. Over the years, and with some recent information I obtained, we have amassed a database on these G.I.Joe’s.” The Commander leads Demise over to a computer array where a few Tele-Vipers sit. “These men can give you all the information you need.”
“Thank you Commander.”
“Take all the time you need, when you are ready we will place you.”
Demise salutes the Commander then sets to work with the Tele-Vipers.
Cobra Commander steps over to Tomax who watches with suspicious eyes. “You do not trust him?”
“Not that Commander, we are just unsure about him.”
“What is to be unsure about, he is driven by murderous revenge, he is perfect for Cobra.”

Three months later…
Lodi California, San Joaquin County, known as a center of wine production the Zinfandel capital of the world. Most recently known for the first and controversial terrorism trial in the state of California, where two men were alleged to be part of, or associated with a terrorist sleeper cell. Another terrorist sleeper cell also operates in this bustling city, hidden away in plain sight, one so dangerous it has threatened the United States and the world for years.
Inside a ten floor office building, Demise stands at a podium with a large Cobra insignia flag pinned to the wall behind him. Next to him stands a blond haired woman who listens as he addresses a group of men and women in the ways of Cobra. He speaks with much pride and belief in his voice rallying the others in an uproarious “Hail Cobra!” as he dismisses the group.
“You are a great motivator.”
“Thank-you Doctor Knox.” Demise says as the two head into a secret back elevator that takes them down into a sound proofed shooting range.
“May I ask you why you wanted to come here to set up recruitment camp?”
“There is a man that I want to hurt…and this is just one step…in doing so.”
“Ah yes, Seymour Fine code named Sci-Fi of the G.I.Joe team. What is it about those Joe that makes you hate him so much?”
“Now Doctor Knox…are you trying to…counsel me?”
“Perish the thought, I was just hoping to understand your motives more.”
“Or are you just checking up on me…for the Commander?”
“You read people just as well as I do.” Knox flashes him a smile touching the side of his scared face. “You know, I could fix your scars.”
“No, they are a reminder of the pain…I have suffered. My old life is gone now.” Demise leads Dr. Knox back to the elevator taking it down to the Command Center.
Knox looks deep into his eyes. “What are you planning to do to him?”
“Inflict pain on him…like he has never felt, him and the rest…of his teammates. Information has already been leaked…to the proper sources…which will alert the G.I.Joe team.” Demise looks over a wall with photos of Lt. Falcon, Mayday, Sci-Fi, Trip-Wire and Grand Slam. “And this army will help me to get my revenge.”
“What happens once you have gotten your revenge?”
“I will continue to serve the Commander…and help him to destroy these…G.I.Joe’s…and obtain his ultimate goal.”
Knox sits smiles adjusting the Cobra pin on her lapel, a mini camera and mic hidden within it.

G.I.Joe Headquarters, The Rock, 48 hours later. General Colton stands before a large view screen with a satellite map of Lodi California speaking to Falcon and his team. “Sixteen hours ago we received some information of a Cobra Recruitment Cell operating in Lodi California.” He presses a remote in his hands bringing up a blurred picture of Demise with Doctor Knox. “You can see why we called you all back to duty.”
“Looks like he’s moved up in the world.”
“So it would seem Trip, but this is a much more sensitive situation. We believe he chose this city on purpose.”
“What purpose would that be?” Mayday inquires.
“It’s the birthplace of Anthony Gambello, code name Flash.”
“Oh.” She looks over at Grand Slam and Sci-Fi.
Colton switches to a view of a warehouse. “This is where they are operating from.”
“So we go in and bust it up.”
“Not quite Falcon. This is a much more populated city and we have to be careful how we handle this, the brass doesn’t want another Montana episode. That is why I am expanding your ranks.”
In the room walks Kurt Schnurr, code name: Airtight, Hostile Environment/CBR/Ordnance specialist. Stephen A Ferreira, code name: Bullhorn, Intervention Specialist/ Armor Specialist. Carl Shannon, code name: Charbroil, Flamethrower, Flame Weapons, Small Arms Specialist.
“We do not want to risk a fire fight…”
“Sir, with all due respect that will be impossible. Once we show up Demise will want to see us blown to bits.” Grand Slam comments.
“That is why these three are joining your team. Do your best to keep this contained and quiet. There is a C-141B waiting. You are all dismissed.” Colton looks at Sci-Fi and Grand Slam. “Don’t make this personal.”
The two acknowledge his order following the others out of the room.
“Welcome to the team guys.” Falcon says to his three new teammates.
“Thanks, it’s nice to get the call to duty.” Bullhorn says.
“Mayday will brief you on our last mission and all the information we have on Demise once we’re in the air. Let’s get our gear.”

Cobra Recruitment Facility, Lodi California.
Demise and Dr. Knox watch as the recruits practice at the targeting range, from behind a protective bullet proof glass wall. The room lined with sound reducing foam, the walls padded to keep the sound of gun fire from echoing outside the building. Demise watches on woman in particular who fires with precise accuracy at her targets handling her weapon like a pro.
“This woman…in station four…she is not a new recruit.”
“So you’ve noticed.” Dr. Knox smiles. “She is new but not one of your recruits, her name is Munitia, the Commander is loaning her to you, she’s good, very good.”
“I can tell.”
“I think its time to introduce the two of you.”

Aboard the C-141B, high above the state of California, the plane begins its decent.
Falcon moves to sit down next to Sci-Fi. “I see you traded in your shinny green duds for some darker ones.”
“Don’t start.”
“Right…I almost forgot, you don’t have a sense of humor.” Falcon jokes. “Look, I know how hard this is for you, I’ve been there. I had to watch a madman kill friends of ours, I know it’s not the same as people you grew up with but they were like family. Every one of them Doc, Breaker, Crazy Legs, and you know how I got through it? I kept focused on my mission, and yeah I wanted revenge but I wasn’t going to let that become my life. Neither can you Sci-Fi, if you let it consume you, you’ll end up like the others.”
“Thanks for the pep talk Falcon, but I’ll deal with it in my own way.”
The Green Beret looks at Sci-Fi seeing the same anger he felt in Trucial Abysmia. “So…this suit, what’s with the key pad looking thing and the optical sensor on your helmet?”
“I could explain it but you still wouldn’t understand it.”
“Then dumb it down for me.”
Sci-Fi takes a deep breath. “Basically the optical sensor is a targeting device, when lined up with my canon it automatically fires at what I am locked onto. The suit has a built in security device.”
“Cool, what kind of security.”
Sci-Fi grins at Falcon. “Just hope you never have to find out.”
“And everyone says you have no sense of humor.” He laughs.
“I don’t.”
“Leave him alone Falcon.” Grand Slam grunts.
“The same thing goes for you Slam, I know Flash was a friend of yours.” Falcon looks at Sci-Fi then gets up watching him as he steps away.
“What’s with you?” Mayday asks.
“Sometimes that guy’s brain scares me. Did you finish briefing our three teammates?”
“Yes sir, everyone is up to speed.”
“Good.”
“Ladies and Gentlemen, if ‘ya all will fasten your safety belts we’ll be at your drop zone shortly.” Wild Bill says over the com.
“Drop zone?”
“What’s the matter Mayday, never parachuted onto the roof of a building at night before?” Trip-Wire asks.
“No.”
“Well then, this should be a real blast for you, just try not to miss the roof, wouldn’t want you straying away into traffic now.” Airtight jokes.
“You know, we need another woman on this team for you guys to pick on.” Mayday pouts folding her arms in front of her chest.
“It’s not ‘cause you are a woman, its cause you are still a newbie.” Airtight laughs.
“Oh that makes me feel so much better.”
“Time to focus people, let’s bring this guy down.” Falcon says looking out the window.

G.I.Joe Headquarters, The Rock war room. General Colton stands behind Sparks monitoring Falcon’s team as the plane heads over the state of California.
“Are you sure it was wise to send in this team, sir?”
“Yes Sparks, they worked well together last time and some of them have issues to deal with. If Demise is actually there like our Intel said then they are the only ones who have a chance at stopping him.”
Sparks taps his console.
“I know what you are thinking, the order came down from the brass. They are afraid Demise could become more of a threat.”
“I take it you don’t agree with it?”
“In some ways, no, in others, let’s just say I understand it. Terrorists have become a growing problem and Demise use to be one of ours.”
“I know sir, it just doesn’t feel right.”

The Cobra Recruitment Facility, Command Center, situated in the basement of the ten storey mainly vacant office building. A group of Tele-Vipers monitor the communications array assessing all information that comes in.
Tele-Viper 2 adjusts his radar tracking screen running a check on his data. “Demise, there is a United States C-141B aircraft about to violate our airspace.” He says into his com link.
“Copy that…Tele-Viper…looks like our information was correct. Go to alert status…let’s set up a welcome for our guests.”
“Understood, going to alert status.” The Tele-Viper responds looking over at Tele-Viper 4 who nods back flicking a series of switches changing the lights in the building to orange.
Ready room, 2nd floor above the communications room, Demise replaces his two-way into his belt pouch smiling his almost skeleton looking grin. “The Joe’s are on their way.”
“That was quicker then I expected.” Dr. Knox panics.
“And that surprises you?”
“Yes, I thought we’d have more time to prepare.”
“I’ve been prepared for this…for months now.”
“So what is your plan?”
“The Joe’s will be parachuting in…we’ll let them sweep the first few….floors. Then send in…a few waves of troops…that will be a warm up for the Joe’s. Munitia will lead a team…of our best troops…to give them more of a workout…then if any of them survive…they will face me.”
“And you think you can handle the G.I.Joe’s?”
“Yes, for I have a surprise…in store for them…one they will never see coming.” Demise laughs.

“Alright team, point of no return!” Falcon shouts standing at the open door of the plane, the wind rushing in. “Watch each others back.” He leaps out the door followed by Bullhorn and Airtight.
“Lets do this buddy.” Grand Slam says to Sci-Fi leaping out next followed by his friend.
“Don’t worry Mayday, I’ll follow you out.” Charbroil says putting on his helmet.
“Oh dear god. Carl, have you ever thought of changing that helmet?”
“No, why?”
“It’s freaky looking.”
“Should I say boo?”
“You are such a girl.” Trip-Wire jokes jumping out next.
“Funny.” Mayday leaps from the plane feeling the rush of the air around her watching the ones below as they get ready to pull their chutes. She closes her eyes just for a moment to take in the experience, feeling free and strangely calm grasping her rip cord and giving it a tug. She opens her eyes as her chute fails to open.
“Mayday, pull your cord, release your chute.” Charbroil says over the com link.
“I did…oh god it won’t release.”
“Hang on, I’m coming.”
“What?” Mayday feels panic grip her, falling faster past Trip-Wire.
Grand Slam and Sci-Fi watch as she drops past them, followed by Charbroil.
“Mayday slow yourself, put yourself back into your jump position…” All he hears is the female Joe panic. “Damn it.” He dives picking up more speed reaching out for her…closer…closer….passing Airtight. He snags her pulling her tight to his body as she wraps her arms around him. “Hang on.” Charbroil pulls his cord releasing his chute pulling them upwards.
Falcon touches down on the roof first looking up to see Charbroil and Mayday coming down quicker then the others. He releases his chute as Bullhorn touches down next ready to grab them. “Give me a hand.”
Bullhorn quickly releases his chute watching as Falcon steps in front of the two Joe’s. “Crazy @$$.”
“Drop her!!” Falcon shouts as they pass over, Charbroil releases Mayday into Falcon’s arms. “Grab him Bullhorn!”
The Intervention Specialist rushes towards Charbroil as he hits the roof being pulled by his chute. Bullhorn grabs him helping him to release his chute as they reach the edge of the roof.
“Whoa, thanks Stephen that was a close one.” Charbroil gasps.
“Don’t mention it.”
The rest of the team land safely pulling in their chutes.
“That was amazing.” Trip-Wire booms.
“Wicked awesome man.” Airtight adds. “I was waiting for someone to vomit.”
“Cool it guys.” Falcon snaps. “That stunt might have alerted Cobra. Once we’re in we’ll split into teams of two, Sci-Fi and Bullhorn, Grand Slam and Airtight, Charbroil and Trip-Wire, Mayday you are with me. Let’s try to keep this within the building the less the public knows the better.”

Tele-Viper 1 turns to Demise to give him his report. “The Joe’s are on the roof.”
“Excellent…monitor them…and send in the first wave of canon fodder.”
“Such emotion for your fellow men.” Dr. Knox comments.
“If they can’t cut it…then their fate is well deserved. Cobra can’t use weak individuals…they must be strong and willing…to give their lives for our cause.”
Dr. Knox leans back in her chair crossing her legs. “You know the Commander will not be happy if this facility is captured.”
“It won’t be, I have set charges…around the foundation of the building…and all the main supports. I will bury the Joe’s…like they tried to do to me.”
Dr. Knox looks over at Munitia a look of worry on her face.

Top Floor, West End, Sci-Fi and Bullhorn make their way down the badly lit hall ready for anything, keeping their weapons ready scanning each corner.
Bullhorn taps the com device in his ear. “All clear on this end, Falcon.”
“Copy that Bullhorn.” Falcon responds.
“So, Sci-Fi, you and Simon go way back.”
“Simon is dead Bullhorn.”
The Intervention Specialist looks Sci-Fi over resting against the wall. “Look, I deal with guys like him all the time, it gets to me too you know. I wonder, when the day will come that I have to take out someone I know, and that thought scares me.” Bullhorn looks down at his rifle. “What we do, carrying around these guns, claiming that we are keeping our country safe, the world safe, from terrorists like Cobra, sometimes it all seems like we are beating against the storm.”
Sci-Fi pauses, listening to Bullhorn.
“Just a few weeks ago I helped stop some misguided men who were trying to rob a bank, from killing their hostages. No one died, and when I saw each and every one of the hostages come out safe, women, children, grandparents, I realized that what we do in this unit may be more dangerous, but in the end it’s worth it.” Bullhorn slowly peeks around the corner making sure all is clear to continue.
“How do you deal with it?”
“Want to know a secret?”
Sci-Fi nods.
“I don’t know, I just do. When I see my family, friends, all the pain goes away. I see them happy and safe and I know in part its cause of what we do. Now let’s keep moving.”

Falcon and Mayday sweep through an empty board room on the East side, taking a quick break to check in with the others. Falcon looks out the window at the city streets below as traffic passes by.
“No sign of Cobra agents yet.” Mayday says. “Are you alright?”
“This whole thing stinks.”
“The building is kind of musty.”
“No, I mean this operation. I have a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach.”
“I know what you mean, I’ve had that feeling like someone is watching us.” Mayday looks around the empty room, up along the beige walls and down at the drab maroon carpet.

Below in the Command Center, the Cobra’s wait to strike.
“We have an I.D on all the Joe’s.” Dr. Knox informs Demise handing him a printout.
“I know who they are…I have studied Cobra Commander’s vast database…on the Joe’s…even top secret files…that the Joe’s have no idea he has.”
“His time in the White House proved very fruitful.”
“Yes, and it will be…the Joe’s downfall.” He turns to Tele-Viper 3. “Is the first wave in position?”
“Yes, sir.”
“Excellent…and keep an eye on Trip-Wire…he is their explosives expert.”
The Tele-Viper nods, a view of each team of Joe’s on the monitors as they get closer to the ambush waiting for them.

Airtight and Grand Slam, South side 9th floor next to an elevator shaft.
“I don’t know about you but the butterflies are having a party in my stomach.” Airtight jokes.
Grand Slam looks at him, cocking up one eyebrow. “I know what you are trying to do, and I appreciate it.”
“Hang on, Falcon is on the horn.”
“We already checked in with him, our position hasn’t even changed.”
Airtight signals for Grand Slam to keep quite as he listens to Falcon over the com link. “You’re joking…okay you’re not…copy that sir.” He looks at Grand Slam.
“Falcon has got to be nuts.” He comments hearing everything over his com link. “He wants us too…oh man. Alright lets do it.”

North end, Trip-Wire and Charbroil. The two move towards the stairwell receiving their orders, carefully making their way down. Both stand on either side of the stairwell 9th floor door. Charbroil nods at Trip as they wait for their signal.

“WHERE ARE THEY!!” Demise booms. “Where are Trip-Wire and Charbroil!!” He wheezes.
“They haven’t come out of the North end stairwell yet.” Tele-Viper 2 responds.
“Lt. Falcon and Mayday have just entered the East end 8th floor stairwell.” Tele-Viper 1 adds. “They have yet to come out as well.”
“What about Sci-Fi and Grand Slam?”
“They have accessed the elevator shafts on the 9th floor.”
“What are they doing?”
“Unclear.” Tele-Viper 2 replies.
“Why?”
“The cameras have been jammed…they are moving fast…”
A loud screech of metal shakes the building as the elevators plummet down.
“Hit the floor!!” Demise yells grabbing Dr. Knox pulling her down, covering her as the elevators hit the basement floor shaking the foundation. The computer console flickers and go black, the lights spark and pop, some blow as the power cuts out. The emergency lights come on as the backup generators kick in.
“Get those computers back up…now!” Demise helps Knox up dusting her off.
“That was very cavalier of you.”
“Don’t get use to it…you are still worth something…to me.”

Trip-Wire and Charbroil rush down the stairwell to the 8th floor surprising the Cobra Troops who are still shocked by the crash of the elevators.
“Freeze!” Charbroil shouts.
“For the glory of Cobra!!” The troopers call out brining up their weapons. A spray of gun fire riddles the Cobra’s much too the surprise of the two Joe’s .
“We have to move fast.” Falcon says as he and Mayday step from around the corner. “This little diversion won’t keep them confused for long.”
“What about the others?” Trip asks.
“They have their orders, let’s keep moving, there are probably more”

Down their respective sabotaged elevator shafts, Sci-Fi and Bullhorn, Airtight and Grand Slam make their way down them, avoiding the security cameras. Their orders from Falcon were to go down to the fifth floor and meet up with the rest of the team. As they make their way down they can hear gunfire echoing in the nearly empty building.

A pair of Cobra Enemy trainees scout the damage caused from the released elevators, unable to see the Joe’s coming down the shaft. A red light and low beeping catches their attention, drawing them closer down the hall to the source. The explosives that Demise has set around the basement have activated, tripped from the crash of the elevators. They look at each other, eyes wide, then run for the Command Center.

“Do we have the cameras…back up yet?” Demise questions the Tele-Vipers.
“No Sir, still no response from them.” Tele-Viper 2 responds.
“SIR!” The troopers burst into the room annoying their leader.
“What!” Demise snaps at them.
“The-the explosives…”
“What about the explosives?”
“They’ve armed.”
“All of them?”
They look at each other. “We don’t know, we only saw the one.”
“Then go check the others, NOW!”
Dr. Knox smirks watching the two troopers run out of the room. “You’d almost think they fear you.”
“They should.”
“Are you not concerned about the explosives?”
“No, we can use it…to our advantage, the G.I.Joe’s don’t know about them.”
Dr. Knox leans back in her chair a bit worried for her own life, thinking she should take her first chance to slip out.

7th Floor, the next wave of Cobra canon fodder keep the Joe’s pinned down with suppressive gunfire.
“This is nuts, we’re like sitting ducks here!” Trip-Wire shouts.
“I’m open to any suggestions.” Falcon responds.
“I think Trip and I could come up with something.”
“Whatever you have in mind, you have my go ahead, Charbroil.” Falcon looks at Mayday. “Let’s keep them busy.”
Mayday nods unloading a burst of gunfire at the Cobra’s taking a few out.
“Nice shot.” Falcon winks, firing his shotgun towards the ceiling bringing down some tiles. “We’re running low on ammo, we’ll have to get creative.” He says firing off another round.
“This will help.” Trip-Wire says holding a rigged up explosive.
“What is that?”
“Watch and learn Mayday, just give us some suppressive cover fire.”
Mayday and Falcon lay down some more gun fire blowing out the ceiling. Charbroil pulls the hose from his flame thrower spraying the fluid on the floor as Trip-Wire uses the liquid to slide his explosive down the hall.
“Get back.” Charbroil advises pulling out a small igniter putting it to the liquid. The flames quickly chase the explosive down the hall. He ducks around the corner with the others as the flames hit blowing Trip’s disc.
“Holy…” Mayday keeps her head down as some debris of drywall and ceiling tiles flies down the hall.
“What did you put in that?” Falcon asks looking around the corner.
“A little bit of this, a little bit of that.” Trip-Wire responds.
The four Joe’s look at the gapping hole in the floor and the pile of messed up burning Cobra Troopers.

“These Joe’s are beginning to annoy me.” Demise growls.
“Sir!” One of the Enemy Troopers returns from checking the explosives. “Four of the devices have been activated.”
“And what of the incendiary device?”
“Still intact.”
“Good. Return to your post…alert the others to stand guard. I want to know…as soon as the Joe’s in the elevator shafts…emerge.”
“Yes sir.” The Trooper salutes him with the traditional Cobra salute.
Demise turns back to the Tele-Vipers who are feeding in reports from various agents.
“The Joe’s continue to advance.” Tele-Viper 4 reports.
“Of course they do, it’s exactly what I want them to do. Contact Munitia tell her to be ready.” Demise crosses his arms looking over to the empty seat that Dr. Knox was once sitting in. He smirks like it is all part of his plans.

Bullhorn and Sci-Fi carefully traverse the elevator shaft nearly at the fourth floor.
“So, this Simon, what was he like before you were captured?”
“You just don’t give up do you?” Sci-Fi groans.
“Nope.”
“I know what you are trying to do, Simon died years ago, all that remains is a twisted blackened soul.”
Bullhorn looks down at Sci-Fi, side stepping to move to the other side of the doors. “He’s still in there you know, the man you once knew…”
“He’s dead Stephen, drop it. You can’t save him, you can’t reach the humanity you think may be left in him, cause it isn’t there anymore.” Sci-Fi snaps. “Now shut up and lets open these doors, and hopefully the Cobra’s haven’t heard us.”
Bullhorn scowls, hitting a touchy nerve with his teammate. He grabs on to the doors pulling them slowly open.

Over in the other elevator shaft, Airtight and Grand Slam quietly slip out into the fourth floor. They check their surroundings making sure all is clear.
“I’m surprised you kept quiet this long.” Grand Slam remarks.
“What? I’m not always about jokes and gags.”
“You also can’t stand silence.”
Airtight smiles under his mask. “Maybe I’m just building up the suspense to one giant gag.”
Grand Slam glares at Airtight. “Why did I get paired with you?”
“Cause someone needs to keep you from being all dark and gloomy.”
“Come on lets go.” He waves his teammate on as they case the halls.

Falcon and his team stand at the stairwell access to the fourth floor. He peers through the window then motions for them to follow as they enter. Their hearts all pound as they quietly make there way down the stairs, weapons ready. Trip-Wire places a motion sensor explosive at the base of the stair rail just incase any Cobra Troopers are foolish enough to follow them down, ones they haven’t already dispensed with.

“Freeze, G.I.Joe’s.” Munitia orders, as her and six Enemy Troopers draw their weapons on Grand Slam and Airtight. “Put your weapons on the floor and come with us quietly.”
“Or what, you’ll shoot us in the back?” Grand Slam snaps.
“If I have to yes, but Demise wants you brought to him alive.”
“Let’s just do what she says Slam.” Airtight sets his gear down raising his hands in the air slowly turning to face the Cobra’s. Grand Slam reluctantly sets his weapons down, removing his grenade belt, setting them carefully at his feet.
“And you are?” Grand Slam growls.
“Call me Munitia G.I.Joe, it will be the last name you learn. Now come with us, peacefully. Don’t give me any reason to shoot you just yet.”
“Don’t worry lady, we won’t give you any trouble.” Airtight looks at Grand Slam who nods back.

Sci-Fi and Bullhorn reach the forth floor stairwell, their rendezvous point with the others.
“Where’s Slam and Airtight?”
Sci-Fi taps a key on the pad on his chest armor as a HUD display pops up on his visor. “Airtight activated the beacon on his gear.”
“What is that suppose to mean?”
“It’s stationary.”
“So they are holding their position.”
“Or worse.”
“We can’t wait for them.” Falcon says standing in the stairwell door. “We’ll have to assume they are captured and proceed as such. Let’s move.”

The Enemy Troops lead the two cuffed Joe’s into the lower Command Center presenting them to Demise.
“Ah, Grand Slam…how nice to see you again…and you must be Airtight, CBR specialist, file name Kurt Schnurr.”
“You seem to know a lot about us.”
“That I do. You know what they say…keep your friends close…and your enemies closer. I like to know…all there is to know…about my enemies.” Demise walks up to Grand Slam, getting in his face. “To know all their weaknesses.”
“I’d spit in your face but in your case it would be an improvement.”
Demise back hands Grand Slam then looks at Airtight. “Do you have anything smart to add?”
“Normally I would, but I think my friend said it all. Seeing you takes all the words right out of my mouth, plus your wheezing makes you take forever to get out a sentence.”
“I admire you G.I.Joe’s, even in the face of death…you still act all heroic. Your friends are no doubt…on their way…that is if they can get through…Munitia.”
Tele-Viper 2 turns to face Demise. “Sir, we have the camera’s back online.”
“Excellent, then these two…will get to see their friends…walk right into my trap.”
“Sir, the incendiary explosive is still intact…” An Enemy Trooper reports.
Demise quickly draws his pistol shooting the Trooper between the eyes. The man’s body drops to the floor as blood pours out. “Idiot, I already knew that.”
“Explosives?” Airtight comments.
“Yes, you and your team’s stunt…in releasing the elevators…inadvertently activated some of the bombs…that have been set around the base of this building.”
“We were walking into a trap all along.”
“That you were Grand Slam. I was the one that leaked the information…to your headquarters. Don’t worry though, the bombs won’t go off…until the incendiary trigger is activated, unfortunately…the ones that are already activated…will go off immediately instead of in a chain effect.”
“Why are you telling us all this?”
“Why not? It’s already…too late for you. Now let’s watch the show…shall we?” Demise looks up at the main cracked screen as images flicker across it.

The six man Joe team stand at the third floor access door preparing to move down another level, with still no sign of Airtight or Grand Slam.
“Sci-Fi, any movement on our boys end?”
“Negative Lt. Falcon.”
“I hate to do this then, but we have to know for sure. Sci-Fi, you and Charbroil double back, I want to know for sure. They may be wounded for all we know.”
“But…”
“That’s an order Sci-Fi, make it fast and report back.”
“Come on man you heard him.” Charbroil says placing his hand on Sci-Fi’s shoulder.
Sci-Fi shrugs off his teammates hand heading back up the stairs.
“Keep an eye on him.” Falcon says to Charbroil. “The rest of us, lets keep moving.”
Bullhorn slowly opens the access door casing the hall motioning for the others to follow, they slip out taking points, ready for anything.

“I know you’d rather be hunting Demise…” Charbroil says.
“Don’t go all psychoanalyst on me, I had to put up with that with Bullhorn.”
“I’m not, I just wanted to say I’d want to do the same thing.”
“According to my HUD, Airtight and Grand Slam should be…right around this corner.” Sci-Fi says finding their weapons.
“Son of a…” Charbroil picks up Grand Slams grenade belt. “Better let Falcon know his hunch was…” He looks over his shoulder. “Sci-Fi?” The stairwell door clicks shut. “Dammit.” Charbroil taps the side of his helmet to activate his internal com link. “Sir, bad news, we found our boys weapons and gear.”
“Meet back up with us ASAP.”
“I have some more bad news, Sci-Fi has taken off.”
“Find him.” Falcon responds.
“Yes sir.”

“Now what?” Trip-Wire asks Falcon.
“We continue the mission, and hope Sci-Fi doesn’t let revenge get the best of him.”
“Get down!!!” Bullhorn shouts as a hail of gunfire sprays down the hall.
“Holy f…”
“Lady present.” Mayday reminds Falcon.
“Sorry babe, you and Bullhorn lay down some suppressive fire, Trip, you have some flash bangs with you?”
“Sure do.”
“Blind fire guys, keep your eyes closed.” Falcon says as he and Trip-Wire lob a hand full of small impact devices into the Cobra’s path. The small devices hit the floor and wall emitting a bright light blinding them. The Joe’s rush the Enemy Troops dispensing them quickly with some hand to hand combat.
Falcon beams one of the troops across the head with the handle of his shot gun while he side kicks another hard against the wall. Mayday knees one in the groin then hits him with and uppercut to then chin.
“Remind me to never piss her off.” Bullhorn comments.
“Let’s keep moving, there’ll be more.”

“Impressive.” Demise comments. “You Joe’s…are very good…at thinking…on your feet.
“It’s what we are trained for, potato head.” Airtight comments.
“Sir, we’ve lost sight of Sci-Fi and Charbroil.” Tele-Viper 3 informs.
“Post more guards at the main entry…contact Munitia…and tell her to let the Joe’s…reach the lobby. Find Sci-Fi…get him back on screen.”
Airtight looks at Grand Slam, he can see a look of anger on his face. He shakes his head at him hoping he can keep his cool a bit longer.
“Sir, Sci-Fi has disappeared, I have only located the other Joe who appears to be looking for him as well.” Tele-Viper 3 reports.
“WHAT!! Find him…alert all Troopers in the vicinity…of his last position, I want him found.”
“What’s the matter, Demise, not all going according to plan?”
Demise turns to Grand Slam. “I keep you alive…so you can watch me…kill your teammates…after what you did to me in Geraldine, but your friend here…” He pulls his gun on Airtight. “…he is an anomaly, he has nothing…to do with this…and as so is expendable.” Demise pulls the trigger firing his pistol at Airtight.
“NO!” Grand Slam is held back by two Enemy Troopers as his teammate drops to the floor.

Charbroil carefully makes his way through the fourth floor, looking for Sci-Fi. He hears some footsteps ducking into one of the empty rooms watching as some Troopers pass by. He waits for a few moments then heads back into the hall noticing a loose air vent in the ceiling. “You clever son of a gun.” Charbroil taps his helmet. “I have a lead on Sci-Fi, he’s in the air ducts.”

The second floor stairwell entry, Falcon and his team slip out scanning the area. There is a large staircase in the center that leads down to the main floor lobby, the elevator doors damaged from the cars fall. All open area except for a few small offices in the corners, to easy to be picked off by the enemy.
“So I guess we head back into the stairwell?”
“No Bullhorn, we keep back to back and make our way to the main staircase, I doubt Cobra would expect us to make such a move.” Falcon says.
“Wait, the camera’s, the red lights are back on.” Trip-Wire points out.
“Mayday, take them out.”
“Gotcha Falcon.” Mayday kneels down propping her gun up on her shoulder taking aim at the camera’s. In four quick shots the cameras are nothing but destroyed circuits and lenses.
“Okay, lets form a circle and keep your eyes open.”
The four Joe’s keep in step as they cross the floor, Falcon taking lead keeping an eye on the main floor below as they reach the staircase. “SCATTER!!!”

“Airtight…oh god…” Grand Slam watches as his teammate lies on the floor motionless and bleeding.
“Don’t be so dramatic, I only winged him.”
“What?”
Airtight rolls over, the bullet that Demise fired at him only grazing his left shoulder. “Still hurts like hell jerk.”
“Pick him up, I want him to watch this.”
Airtight and Grand Slam watch as Falcon and his team are ambushed by Munitia and her Enemy Troops.

A hail of gunfire erupts from the first floor as the Joe’s hit the floor. Mayday rolls across popping up to return fire, Bullhorn backs her up as Trip-Wire rigs a few mines.
“Get back guys and gals.” Trip says sliding a couple of mines across the floor towards the staircase.
The Enemy Troopers target the round discs as they come over the edge.
“Cease Fire You Idiots…those are MINES!!” Munitia runs taking cover as the mines are hit exploding bringing down ceiling tiles and destroying the stairs.
Falcon follows through with a couple of grenades blowing up some of the troopers and furniture below.
Munitia ducks down behind a pile that use to be a sofa returning fire. “You Joe’s will die at the hand of Cobra!”
“Man, she’s one loopy chick.” Trip-Wire comments.
“Trip, go, you know what you need to do.” Falcon orders.
“On my way.” He says running back to the stairwell they entered.
“Grenade!” Bullhorn shouts as a small green oval shaped explosive comes up from below. It explodes in mid air blasting apart what’s left of the ceiling bringing it down on the Joe’s.
“Fill the floor above with lead, we’ll bring it down or put holes in those Joe’s.” Munitia orders her remaining Troops.
“Do not kill the G.I.Joe’s.” Demise orders the Cobra’s over their com links. “I want them to suffer a slow painful death.”
“As you command.” Munitia responds. “Weaken the supports.” Munitia reorders her troops, opening fire on the pillars in the main lobby.

The Command Center is a mess from the battle above, the computers down, the lights flickering and swinging from the ceiling.
“Go secure the escape route, I’m sure Dr. Knox has already fled the building.”
“Yes sir.” Tele-Viper 1 one responds.
“And as for you Joe’s…your use is quickly coming to an end. Soon the rest of your team…will be beaten, left to die…when this building comes down, as for Sci-Fi… he’s too late to save you now.”
The air vent above breaks free from the ceiling as Sci-Fi drops down pulling his laser rifle on Demise. “Think again.”
“Ah you made it.”
“One thing I’ll give Cobra, they build a sturdy air duct.”
“Get him!”
Tele-Viper 1 leaps at Sci-Fi tackling him to the floor holding him.
“Let me guess, you’ve come…to save your teammates?” Demise laughs. “Unfortunately for you…your other teammates…are about to suffer serious injury.”
The building shakes as the floor above comes down, the Command Center being re-enforced, but not enough to feel the shock of the destruction. A large hanging screen comes down on top of Tele-Viper 4. Grand Slam breaks free from the Enemy Troopers head butting one and kicking the other against the wall. Sci-Fi activates his personal security device sending enough volts of electricity to incapacitate the Tele-Viper that holds him, a one time charge that once used fries the circuits. Airtight runs backwards slamming one into a control panel, then falls to his knees as sparks fly. Demise makes a run for it behind his Tele-Vipers, Sci-Fi snags him with his laser rifle tripping him.
“Your life ends now, Demise.”
“Ha, you won’t kill me…Seymour…you don’t have the guts…to do it.”
“You’re right, I don’t, but I have my orders.”
“What?” Grand Slam says. “I don’t remember that in our mission briefing.”
“I was given the orders before the briefing from General Colton, they came from high up.”
“You’re joking right?.”
“No Airtight.” Sci-Fi presses his rifle against Demise’s forehead. “Colton gave me the order, told me to it was my mission if I wanted it, and of course I accepted it.”
“Then he expects you to do what you feel is right Sci-Fi.”
“What are you talking about Slam?”
“Think about it, he could have given that job to Bullhorn. You have him, let’s get out of here and bring him in alive to stand trial.”
Sci-Fi takes a deep breath looking down at the deformed face of Demise, a man that use to be on the same side as them.
“Drop the gun.” Munitia orders having slipped into the room undetected. “You Joe’s move a muscle or even blink I’ll blow his head clean off.”
Demise laughs as he gets to his feet. “Looks like you loose again…Joe’s.” He thumbs his remote detonation device. “Soon…you’ll all be under…a pile of rubble.”
“He rigged this place to be one big death trap, problem is we figured that out as well.” Sci-Fi remarks.
“We did?” Airtight looks at Grand Slam who rolls his eyes.
“Enjoy your death.” Demise and Munitia slip down a secret corridor that slams shut behind them.
“Can we blow it open?”
“No Airtight, we don’t have time. We need to find Falcon and the others before Demise blows this place.” Sci-Fi responds using his laser to break their cuffs.
“Lets move then, times a ticking.”

Demise and Munitia rush down a corridor that takes them to an underground rail car.
“Time for the Joe’s…to get a visit…from the Reaper.” Demise presses the remote laughing as they climb into the rail car speeding off down the tunnel. “Within ten seconds…we should be far enough…from the building to be safe…but still hear the blasts.”

Sci-Fi, Airtight and Grand Slam race up the stairs and into the main lobby, only the bodies of dead Cobra’s lay in the rubble. They climb over it searching for their teammates.
“Looking for us?” Falcon says, with Mayday and Bullhorn next to him, a little worse for wear but in one peace, standing up on what remains of the upper floor.
“Has anyone seen Charbroil?” Mayday inquires.
“Up here.” He shouts from the floor above, jumping down to meet up with the rest.
“Where’s Trip?”
“Right behind you guys, Slam.” Trip-Wire says.
“Did you find the bombs?” Falcon asks, leading the other two down along what remains of the staircase.
“Bombs?” Airtight echoes.
“Long story short Falcon figured Demise would have rigged this place to blow so he sent me to find them and I did.” Trip says in one breath.
“And?”
“Sorry boss, too many fail safes, all I could do was attach one of my timers to slow it down. The blast should safely bring the building straight down. Just like a demolition.”
“Demise and Munitia escaped.” Grand Slam grunts. “We couldn’t stop them.”
“I know where they are going, I found an Enemy Trooper trapped under some debris, couldn’t do anything for him but he told me where they are headed.”
“Then lets commandeer a vehicle and go after them.” Falcon orders.
The Joe’s bolt leaping over the rubble from the battle. Falcon slams into the doors being knocked back, locked up tight.
“Stand back.” Trip-Wire sets some explosives blowing the door from the hinges.
“Nice.” Airtight comments.
The Joes bolt from the building heading down the steps. Trip-Wire’s timer buying them enough time to make it out as the explosives detonate, the ground quakes as the building begins to crumble sending a thick cloud of dust into the air.
“Hit the dirt!!” Falcon shouts as they are overtaken, covered by the heavy dust.

Deep within the tunnel Demise, Munitia and the Cobra Troopers hang on as their rail car shakes from the explosions and the building coming down.
“That seemed a bit delayed.”
“Remember Munitia we are quite far down the tunnel already. Tele-Viper, contact Dr. Knox, let her know we are on the way.”
“Yes sir.”
“The Joe’s are done for, they would have never escaped in time, and victory is mine, finally.” Demise grins reveling in his accomplishment.

“Falcon…Grand Slam…Airtight…” A voice calls out through the settling debris.
“Sci-Fi…Mayday…anyone?” Another voice calls.
“Oh man, come on guys…” Med Alert makes his way through the settling dust. “Lifeline, I can’t see…wait…” He runs to a lump of dirt with a feminine shape. “I found Mayday.”
“I’ve found Falcon, Charbroil and Sci-Fi.” Lifeline says over Med Alerts radio.
“Oh man what hit me?” Mayday says slowly rising to her knees.
“A building. We got the area evacuated and blocked off while you guys were inside, General Colton had a feeling things might go bad.”
“Good thinking, what about the others?”
“Lifeline has found Falcon and Sci-Fi.”
“Don’t worry about looking for me.” Airtight waves. “I’m already found.”
Med Alert quickly tends to Airtight’s flesh wound.
“We just found Trip-Wire and Bullhorn.” Lifeline relays.
“That just leaves Grand Slam.” Mayday says.
Med Alert adjusts the mic on his helmet. “Did you hear that Lifeline?”
“I copy that, let’s find Grand Slam.”
“Roger.” Med Alert leads Mayday and Airtight through the rubble. “There!” He points to a motionless Grand Slam.
“Oh no.” Mayday rushes to him rolling him over. “Grand Slam…James?” She shakes him as Med Alert kneels down next to him checking his vitals. “Is he…?”
“No, he’s alive…”
Grand Slam begins to cough and gag sitting up. “Oh man that was a close one.”
Mayday tosses her arms around him hugging him. “Thank god.”
“Hey, I thought I was the one you liked.” Falcon comments, followed by the others. “Everyone still functioning?”
The Joe’s all nod.
“Then we have a mission to continue.”
“What? No way, we have to get you guy’s medical attention.” Lifeline objects.
“Sorry pal, this is one argument you aren’t winning.” Airtight comments.
“He’s right Lifeline, we have some Cobra’s to nab, and we know where they are headed. All we need is transport.” Lt. Falcon coughs.
“We have a Hummer and Skystriker standing by.” Med Alert informs. “Sorry Lifeline but I’m with them on this one.”
Lifeline sighs. “Hate to admit it, but so am I buddy. Come on, we’ll take you to them, they’re not far.”
Falcon dusts himself off. “Good we don’t have moment to spare, lets double time it Joe’s every second counts.”

Downtown Lodi, the construction sight of The World of Wonders, a science museum modeled after the San Francisco Exploratorium . Demise walks up to Dr. Knox who waves him over.
“You made it.”
“Are the Rattlers ready?”
“Yes.” Dr. Knox responds. “Unknown to the contractor’s Cobra has been secretly funding this project, of course adding in our own special touches.” Dr. Knox leads them to a large open area, she removes a remote from her belt pressing the button. The ground begins to shake as bay doors open and an elevator brings up three Rattlers.
“Excellent, let us leave this place. Dr. Knox…you are with me as are you Tele-Viper 2, Munitia and Tele-Viper 3…you take the other. You two Troopers will…take the third…and watch our six.” Demise wheezes.
“Yes sir.” The troops salute hurrying to the Rattlers to prep them.
“This is a great day…once we return to base…we’ll have to celebrate…and dance upon the graves of the Joe’s…figuratively speaking.”
“Do you think he makes this up as he goes along?” Munitia asks Dr. Knox.
“Of course he does. He’s a mad man built on revenge and power, who will step on everyone and anyone to get what he wants. He could be one of Cobra’s greatest leaders. Do you hear something?” Dr. Knox says looking around the dark construction sight. “Sounds like a jet?”
“There, G.I.Joe!” Munitia says pointing up to the Skystriker.
“Troopers, open fire! Ladies…let us make our escape.”

Sci-Fi pilots the Skystriker with Bullhorn as co-pilot.
“You sure you can fly this thing?”
“If I can pilot a Starfighter I can pilot this baby with ease.”
“As calm as you sound, I believe you.” Bullhorn picks up the radio. “Striker to Falcon, come in.”
“Go ahead Striker.”
“We have visuals, Cobra’s are trying to escape in Rattlers.”
“Roger that, we’re coming in, keep them from lifting off.”
“You heard the man Sci-Fi.”
“Hang on.” Sci-Fi brings the jet down firing the E-18 Aero Vulcan Gatling Canon at the Cobra’s, warning shots at first, buzzing them.

“What are you waiting for!” Demise shouts. “Open fire! Bring down that jet!”
The Cobra Troopers take aim firing at the Skystriker as it soars upwards evading their gunfire.

Bullhorn looks down and laughs. “Man these guys are bad shots.”
“Hang on, this is going to be rough.” Sci-Fi ignites the afterburners to climb up faster, bringing the jet into a loop to take another pass at the Cobra’s. He slams the controls down diving fast, his thumbs on the firing trigger.
“Holy…” Bullhorn grips the seat tight feeling the jet shake. “You’re going to pull up right…Sci-Fi?”
Sci-Fi unloads a burst of canon fire from the jet blowing up one of the rattlers then pulls up as fiery chunks of metal drop around them cutting the afterburners. The Cobra’s below hit the ground feeling the rush of the jet as it passes over them.
“Man, you are one crazy pilot.”
“Thanks.”

“Munitia, get to the gunner’s station before he makes another pass.” Dr. Knox orders.
Munitia looks at Demise.
“Do as she says.” He snaps. “Dr. Knox…lets get these into the air…before backup arrives.”
“We think alike.” Dr. Knox responds running for the Rattler’s.

“I have the missiles prepped and ready.”
“Good Bullhorn, we’ll light them up on our next pass.” Sci-Fi responds bringing the Skystriker about burning off the extra speed to line them back up. “I see our ground support below.”
Grand Slam mans the gunner’s station as Trip-Wire drives the Hummer through the construction barricades. Falcon and Mayday lay down some suppressive gunfire from the rear cargo area, with Airtight looking like he is enjoying the bumpy ride manning the passenger front machine mounted gun.
“Alright let’s go YO JOE!!!” Airtight shouts looking up at the Skystriker as it passes over them. “Go go!!”
“What a nut.” Bullhorn comments. “Uh oh…their going airborne.”
“Damn, they got those up fast.” Sci-Fi says as the Rattler’s rise up. “This is going to be tricky.”
“Standing by with Sidewinders…”
“Negative Bullhorn, and this time I mean it when I say hang on.”

“Falcon…the Skystriker won’t be able to evade the Rattler’s its going to fast.”
“Then let’s light them up Grand Slam make it hard for them to hit them.”
Grand Slam fires off bursts from the mounted machine gun.
“How good of a pilot is Sci-Fi?” Airtight shouts up to Grand Slam.
“He’s the best Starfighter Pilot we have.”
“What about a Skystriker?”
“He’s the best Starfighter Pilot we have.” Grand Slam repeats.
“Oh-Kay.”
“Let’s just lay some suppressive fire.” Charbroil shouts.
They watch as the Skystriker banks hard on a 45 degree angle slipping between the two Rattlers.

Munitia and Tele-Viper 2 light up the Twin 40MM Multiple Fire Canons riddling the Skystrikers wings and tail with holes.
“Scratch one Striker.” Munitia cheers. “Happy landings, G.I.Joe’s.”

“Bail out Bullhorn, this birds about to blow.” Sci-Fi says hitting the afterburners to pull the jet high enough up in the sky pulling the eject leavers. The two Joe’s are launched into the air and away from the speeding jet, as it begins to shake apart and erupts into a fireball lighting up the sky and ground below.

“Damn, did they make it, I can’t see them.” Grand Slam says covering his eyes from the blast.
“Yes, I see them, oh no way…you gotta be joking.” Trip says slamming on the breaks. “Those two are about as nutty as you Airtight.”
“Hey, I resemble that remark.”
“Are they trying to land on the Rattlers?”
“No, they’re trying to get into firing position.”

Sci-Fi takes aim at Demise’s Rattler, opening fire with his laser reflecting it off the glass of the gunner station blinding Munitia. He pulls a self loading pistol from his boot unloading it at the canopy. Demise flinches for a second realizing the canopy is bullet proof. He grins at Sci-Fi waving at him, which is responded to with a laser dot to his head from Sci-Fi’s pistol.
“Bang you’re dead.”

“Do we open fire?”
“Negative on that Grand Slam, lets just get our guys and go home. This Cobra operation has been exposed, and I think Sci-Fi got his point across. I’m sure we’ll be seeing them again.”

Top Secret Cobra Sea Base, off the California coast, disguised as an oil rig. The two Rattlers come in for a vertical decent as the platform they touch down on lowers. The open bay doors above slide shut activating a series of lights revealing a full functioning hanger bay. Demise, Dr. Knox, and Munitia head through a set of doors following the signs to the Command Center. As soon as they enter the main screen flickers activating, displaying Cobra Commander’s image that the three hail too.
“Welcome back, was your mission a success?”
“Yes it was…very successful.”
Munitia and Dr. Knox look at each other confused.
“Excellent. I hope you will find this base to your liking, unfortunately I could not be there in person, I have other things to deal with at the moment.”
“Understandable…Commander…what are your next orders?”
“I will relay those to you soon, in the mean time I want you to continue recruitment to our side. We will need all the troops we can get.”
“As you command.” Demise responds shutting down the main screen.
“Why did you tell him your mission was a success?”
“Because…my dear doctor…it was. I crushed their spirits…they know I am still alive…and was able to escape the Joe’s. I proved I can outwit…and out fight them.”
“You sound confident Demise.” Munitia comments.
“Should I not? We won…the Joe’s mission…was a failure.”

The Rock, G.I.Joe Headquarters, mission briefing room.
“This sucks, he slipped through our fingers again.” Grand Slam says thumbing his fists on the table.
“Easy Slam, we were still able to shut down another recruitment camp.”
“Actually Lt. Falcon, it was Cobra who destroyed their own facility.”
“Gee, thanks for reminding me of that Trip.” Falcon says sarcastically.
General Colton enters the room, the Joe’s stand at attention saluting him. “At ease, take your seats.” Colton places a set of files down on the table. “I’ve read over all your reports, this was a victory for us.”
“It won’t be a victory until we bring those Cobra agents in or bring them down.” Falcon says.
“Demise is still out there and he’s becoming more of a threat.” Bullhorn adds.
“I should have taken the shot, I should have eliminated him.”
“I’m glad you didn’t Sci-Fi.” Colton says. “The Brass asked me to give the assignment to you because they figured you would go through with it. I knew you wouldn’t. G.I.Joe is not about producing mindless soldiers who kill because they are ordered to, we sever the people to protect them, that’s what makes us different from our enemies. We’re not trying to build a body count here.”
“So what do we do next?”
“Things are escalating with Cobra, we may need some of you but I’d like to keep your team together, Demise is now your number one priority. He likes to play head games, more so with some of you then others, but you’ve all proven you can take whatever he throws at you. Regardless of how you’re all feeling about your mission you did good out there and you came back in one piece.”
“Thank-you sir.” Falcon responds.
“Go get some rest, dismissed.” Colton watches as Falcon and his team file out of the room. He looks over as Sparks enters through another door. “What is it?”
“You’ll need to see this for yourself sir.”

The Secret Cobra Sea Base, Demise’s quarters. Dr. Knox sits on the edge of the bed waiting for Demise to come out of the washroom. She runs her fingers through her long blonde hair .
“So, what do you have in store next for Sci-Fi and his friend’s?”
“Nothing, I am finished…with my petty revenge. I’m sure…we’ll be seeing them again, they are worthy opponents. If only they knew…one among them…is a traitor.”
“What?”
“Cobra Commander…recruited a Joe to our side…after the team disbanded…years ago. He was lost, despondent, in search of guidance.” Demise comes out from the washroom in his new uniform. “So, how do I look?” He stands in a blue battle suit with gold and black body armor, black plated battle boots and black gloves. He picks up a black trooper helmet emblazoned with a gold cobra insignia.
“Like a man ready to lead Cobra to victory.”
“That I am…when I am done…the world will not only tremble…at the name Cobra and Cobra Commander…but they will fear me as well.” Demise laughs putting on his helmet.
